When deciding to start a blog, you’re told to write about what you know.

Here is what I know: Life is a journey.

Like most people my journey consists of work, family, and friends.

I’ve worked in the broadcast field for over a decade covering everything from news, investigative stories, sports, and lifestyle. I have spent time both in front of and behind the camera. Let me tell you both aspects have their ups and downs. You have good days and you have bad ones. You cover stories that move you to tears and have you laughing hysterically. It can be so much fun and full of stress all at once. It’s what I’ve wanted to do since I was 8 years old and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else.

Along the way to my dream job I fell in love. I went to college and while there earned my BA, MS, MA, & my MRS degree. I wasn’t expecting it but that’s when great things happen. We met on the first day of school and have been together ever since. This fall marks 5 wonderful years of marriage. We are a team and over the years our team has expanded. First was the addition of our tortoise. Next came our puppy (if you really want to test your marriage come home a month after your wedding with a dog and see what happens). Last but not least, our son. Could more 2 our 4 legged children be in the future? Who knows, that’s the beauty of a journey. You never know where it may take you.

I’m just your modern millennial mom, trying to work and raise a family with my amazing husband.
