The New Year is well underway so I figured now would be a good time to look back on the resolutions and goals we hoped to achieve in 2017.
I’m not usually one for making New Year’s resolutions. I think they are a great idea but we can get tied down to them and deflated when they don’t work out. If anything I try to focus on one area in my life I can improve over the next 365 days. Last year my goal was to pick up running and see how much I could improve during the next 12 months. I’m proud to say I completed in 3 races including my race across The Mighty Mac.
This year my New Year’s resolution or “focus” if you will, is my wardrobe. I’ve always been a jeans and t-shirt kind of gal. After having my little guy, I returned to my station and a position that put me working off camera more than I was working in front of it. As a result of the job change and my body undergoing a change to lose those pesky pregnancy pounds, I found myself falling back on comfy casual wear when going to the office.
So for the next few months my goals is to get my style back. Below are some of the looks I’ve tried putting together so far.
I have to admit it’s been fun going through my closet and finding new ways to pair old favorites. I’ve also been able to donate a lot of things (let’s face it there are just some things from our younger years that we should no longer wear). Yes there are still going to be days were jeans and t-shirts win out (like when dealing with a sick child or your running late because you took too long at the grocery store). However, hopefully come New Year’s Eve 2017, I’ll look back on this year as my most stylish yet!
